Silly Raining Word Play

Rose are red,
Violets are blue.
I don't usually allow myself to write poetry,
& I know you wish I wouldn't too.

*******

Sunflowers are yellow,
Daisies are white.
I could create a masterpiece
in the quiet beauty of the night.

*******

Thistles are purple,
Dandelions grant wishes,
Does anyone have
any Hershey's Kisses?

*******

Leaves are usually green
until they fall off the tree.
Did you see that lady with
the tattoo of a butterfly on her knee?

*******

Keyboards are clicky,
your chair rolls nicely.
Will you please bring me
home a frozen coke icy?

*******

My shower steams up nicely,
my shampoo smells good.
Do you think I should give up
writing poetry for good?

Rhyming comments get extra points.

Your poems are simple
And easy to follow.
I'd give you more credit,
But it would just sound hollow.
How about I compliment your
photography instead?
And try to get this rhyming business out of my head?
(Dammit!)

Those pictures are awesome
The poetry is okay
I love that blossom
I just ruined your day

(LOL don't ask)

Thank goodness I don't need extra points. Cause I am not a rhymer. Unless it is totally accidental.

So...is this poetry posted in your breakroom at work??

I love your posts,
I love your wit.
Beautiful flowers come
From piles of....

Love.

You are an absolute nut
and a very treasured friend
I'll forever cherish you
and your blog til the end!

No, I love your poetry, but I'm not inspired to write any of my own. I'm at work, it doesn't make me poetic.

The flower of my people!

I've said it before
Guess I'll say it once more
There's something wrong with you,
deep in your core.

Your poems were cute
but not very good
Maybe it's just
that you're misunderstood?

"The Hong Kong Connection" is a legal thriller about a gutsy female attorney who takes on high ranking International officials. It's a taut, rollercoaster of a ride from New York to Palm Beach to Washington D.C. to Hong Kong. The plot is expertly woven, the characters persuasive, and the dialogue snappy and spot on.
